This only happened last night, I started a server and my screen was dark... I can still play, but the screen brightness is really dim. I adjusted my laptop brightness and I adjusted the in game brightness but it had no effect on SAMP. How can I fix this?

Change your screen resolution. I had this problem, if the game is all dark and colours look different, change the resolution to one which works.

The game is running a resulting that your monitor does not support !
You can force the game to run in 800x400 then change it.
Or if u have Nvidia you can set the Resulution to GTA sa from there, or
If u know someone with bigger resolution make them connecto to you pc with teamvirwer the. Just change the res.
