Android tethering help?
#1

Hey guys, I used to tether my phone connection with my Xbox 360 (slim, using wireless), It used to work, Now whatever I try, it doesn't work. Does anyone know what happened? It is a Sony Xperia Neo V BTW, I used to use it with 2.3.4, and ice cream sandwich, then there was an update to ice cream sandhich and now it doesn't work. Help?

Have you tried googling the error? I'm not sure why you think the SA-MP community would know. It would save not only your own time but our time reading this thread. I doubt anyone here works for Android.

Sucks for you, but go ahead and ****** - you might get an answer.

Any errors or anything, or is it just not letting you access the internet once tethered? Can you access the internet on the mobiles browser? What app are you using it to tether with, or are you using the built in "Share Internet Connection" system built into Android?

Yes, I can use the phones internet. No problems with that at all. No errors, I try to connect on my xbox, It goes knows there is a network, but at the Internet part it fails. I'm using 1-click tether. Not rooted, but it used to work and should continue working? I also checked if there would be any updates, nothing yet. Think it is a problem with my Xbox or the app? It works fine on other computers when I tether.

It could be that the strength of the signal required to get internet down isn't strong enough from your phone. I have previously tethered my iPhone to my XBOX and the connection was just dreadful. Give your network provider a call and make sure you have tethering on your contract. Also, is tethering native to your phone, or is it a third party application which you have downloaded?
