Hey.
I was thinking as i have unlimited webspace etc so it wont cost me nothing of creating another Unofficial SA:MP Website and Forums.
www.sa-mp.net or somethink like that or .info or anything.

There i will recruit responsible moderators.
And it will just be another place to discuss scripting and find news etc and get help on all issues sa:mp related.

Now the reason i am posting here is not to advertise because i have not made it yet.
I am posting here to find out everyones views on this. including the Moderators and creators of SA:MPS veiws,

what i want to know is.

Do you think it is a good idea
Do you think it is bad
Do you think there are too many.

just anythink you can think of please post here.
i want to do this as i love SA-MP and i love browsing OFFICIAL and UNOFFICIAL forums and cus i got free web hosting i would love to create my own.
BUT if people do not like the idea, then it would be pointless.

So please give your views.
++ this would not be a one man effort it would be a group area. for people to hang, help and have fun and find out news about sa-mp
& for all those server owners it means another place to advertise your server.

Besides that, what is the new site going to offer? Something unique? Tell more about the 'why'.

I feel it can offer all the same as the official and i will be always looking for news to keep everyone updated,
It will be another place to get help with scripting or to release your own work,
Its another community to be apart
We will get affiliates that will always give our SAMP Members cheaper bargains. on E.G Web hosting or UCP help or MYSQL / GAME hosting etc
We will have people searching through servers and giving oppinions on the best servers in our views
Polls on what you want to come next in up coming versions of samp and they will be passed on to whom may be concerned

and a general place for fun around with samp

and new stuff will always come in.

And mainly just a Samp unofficial site and forums etc with a different way of being run. As everyone is different so some people may enjoy one site instead of the other,
Then they have options of which website they would like to use to get help.

I think you should do it, from what I know, It's not wether your new that is what decides wether you are anticipated or not. If you offer what others don't offer, If you offer better support, a tight mod team, and good reviews etc, you WILL be reknown and anticipated.
It's something you build too
your first car is crap, then you buy a better one, and in the end you wind up with a jaguar or mercedes AMG
what i'm trying to say is, you'll begin small, but if you work on it, you 'll be bigger and better.
Now, the worst you could do is get into this project with 99% motivation, because that's not enough, you need 200% motivation and a great preparation.
Do not release ANYTHING before your site, forums and team is created and ready for use.

i have decided to leave this post till around midnight GMT + 0 time so then you have plenty of time to keep casting your ideas.

Whilst i wait till then i will start with the development.
but if it turns out in the end more people vote against it then i will just scrap the idea.

Ok thank Y_Less i fully agree with getting something unique. Anyway im not rushing into this so im going to take my time research more then once i found some cool new unique stuff for my unofficial site i will re post here.

The same could be said of your post. If you add something to the discussion then go for it but if it contains "as has been said before", why post it?

All is taken into account.

I am going to start developing the website and forums over the next 2 weeks.
I will be looking for purchase of a domain also.

Once that is done i will be looking for Respected members of the samp community with a knowledge of SA MP Server Support
Scripting
and general samp relations

All this will get done eventually so guys post here on your oppinions still as i want to know how you continue to feel on this

AND IF AN MODERATOR OF THESE FORUMS CAN REPLY TO AS IT WOULD MEAN ALOT TO KNOW HOW MODERATORS OF THE OFFICIAL SAMP FORUMS FEEL ABOUT THIS

uhm, not to ... ruin you're dreams or anything but isn't it better to keep all sa-mp users on the official ?
This means 10 times better respond on help etc.
The 'real' moderators will be there to help etc.

Just a thought...
Instead of splitting SAMP up we should pull it togather.

You're still missing the point - why would they WANT to move over if you have nothing to offer yet?
