The Godfather - Edited for 0.2X [No Tutorial either!]
#1

This is EXACTLY the same as the original Godfather, however it does not have any conflicts with 0.2X, nor does it have the annoying tutorial, which lets be frank, is just lamely long.

For details, please refer to the original thread here; http://forum.sa-mp.com/index.php?topic=24634.0

Downloads;
GF: 0.2X Edit Version 1; http://joltnet.info/dloads/GF0.2XEdit.rar
(This version is compatible with version 0.2.0/0.2.1/0.2.2 & 0.2X. Possibly 0.1b, but >NOT< tested by me)

Version Log
v1.00
initial edit release
v1.01
Fixed a bug where it kept repeating enter stats suchs male/female, and not releasing movement when filled in.

Any problems?

Reply here!

Will I continue to edit Godfather?
Perhaps, if this one i just edited is buggy, i won't do requests, nor will i do any lengthy edits, i'm just patching up bugs and spelling errors, sorry.

note; I do >NOT< approve of the massive usage of this script, please consider scripting your own, i only did this to aid people who already use it, or those wishing to learn from it, and of course, not result in massive amounts of "OMG ITS NOT WORKING" posts.

If you don't have anything nice to post, DON'T POST ANYTHING AT ALL!

There shouldn't be, this is the original Godfather, as found here, just edited to rename a function, and remove the lamely long tutorial, any bugs in this are from it's original creator.

Yes, it collided with the native 0.2X function of SA:MP. I simply renamed the function in this edit. (and removed that pesky tutorial)

He speaks truth, it'll collide.
Also, this thread is for questions & issues with my GF fix, so please don't continue the discussion.

You cant really call it yours, all you did was ctrl + f function names and change them. And delete a few lines of code..

I said "my" gf edit. Which is technically what it is, it is an edit. In the first post, (and the enclosed readme in the file) i clearly state it's original authors, and that i take no credit except the small edits. Please learn to read fully, before accusing. (Also, a few in standard English is three, it was alot more than 3 lines)

Also, what part of don't continue the discussion was complex...

Could you might create a small log?, where you could put the things you have fixed? Because I prefer knowing the way and what you fixed , instead of just downloading your edit and keep trying searching for changes.

Maby you could re-read the first post? He removed the tutorial and renamed OnPlayerUpdate, also fixed a bug where it kept repeating enter stats suchs male/female, and not releasing movement when filled in.

By the sounds of it he created the keep repeating enter stats bug himself when he removed the tutorial.

I did read the first post , but I does not tell why just ''re-naming'' a function solves a future problem with the function OnPlayerUpdate. ( Maybe it's obvious , but not to me )

Secondly he tells what he has changed , but not HOW , maybe its very interesting for normal users to just download it and work with it , but I prefer to know what exactly happened. If you , mr.Ettans could explain it to me , I would be pleased.

From the topic: "SA-MP 0.2X and 0.3"

Код:
Added OnPlayerUpdate, a callback fired for every player network update. This will help with server-side anti-cheat and detecting alt-tabbed/idle
Thats why he renamed the "OnPlayerUpdate" callback, otherwise it would have collided and the donkeys would be very very angry.

Hi, i can give you a complete overview of what exactly is changed in this, but it is very simple, but here goes.

The function "OnPlayerUpdate" is renamed to "OnPlayerStatsUpdate". The tutorial is removed, and some triggers that where part of that have been moved from that, to when you finish entering your initial data. (this is the bug that i fixed on v1.01, i had forgot to do this)

The reason i removed the tutorial is, many people find it incredibly annoying, and to make it worse, many people copy it to use on other scripts totoally unrelated to the GodFather, it is my hope this discourages some of them from doing that, unlikely, i know.

Thanks , I just wanted to know why it was renamed. I get it now. Thanks alot for although , I don't get all the negative comments. There are alot of people arround who doubled the content of the original script, people who invested ALOT of time , would be quite a bummer if they would get nailed by 1 function.
