Well, today i went to play sa-mp.
I put my gta sa disk into the computer and BOOM. My taskbar and desktop icons disapeared. I turned my computer off and back on (with the disk still in) and it didn't show either still. I took the disk out and all appeared.

explorer.exe is hanging. Sounds almost as if you have a bad optical drive. Try your disk in another computer (im sure it will work fine).

Is it possible that it would fix itself, as i thought it was GTA i deleted it cause i was gonna re-install it xD

wouldnt hurt to blow some air in the drive, as well as make sure your disc is clean and not scratched to hell.

Also, try loading some other dvd's in there and see if they do the same thing.

Something similar happened to me when my computer broke. It was too crappy and old to run GTA SA after two months of playing it.
