Are AM2 socket same as 940?? Or its just a type of AM2?...

And I have one more question about cpu:

Are AM2+ same as AM2?? or its just newer or something like that or whats the difference??.. And can I use a AM2+ In a AM2 socket..

no they both have 940 pins but they are different

AM2 and AM2+ are exactly identical. The only difference between AM2 and AM2+ is that AM2+ supports HT 3.0.

no dont think you would be able because the pin placement is totally different.
find a website with compatible AM2 processors
