How cani change the background of my minimap in my server? Anyone can help me?

the minimap consists of 144 textures, stitched together - you CAN change them, but if you want to let other players see the new minimap, they need to download/install/modify their own minimap. if you intent to do that, you could maybe extract those textures from GTA3.img, change them, and add them into the custom.img. i once tried replacing textures by new ones in the custom.ide, i succeeded. same works with cars, skins and objects.
if you want to inform players about new map areas, i suggest you to have a look on the GangZones, or maybe MapIcons to indicate some spots/areas on the map...
