1366 x 768 x 32 + Explosion = Crash
#1

I hope this is the correct forum, and I hope someone can help me with this. I've asked everyone I can think of, searched ******, and everything. So far, no luck.

My graphics were messed up for a while after I ran singleplayer one time, and for a while I couldn't figure out why, but when I told someone my resolution was 1366 x 768 x 16, they told me to set it to x 32. So I did. My graphics looked great, my gameplay was smoother, and there was no lag. I'm convinced that this is the correct resolution.

However, whenever something explodes near me, the game instantly crashes, no exceptions.

Computer Specs: AMD quad-core processor 2.10 GHz or "AMD A6-3600 APU with Radeon ™ HD Graphics 2.10GHz", if you want to be technical. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, with 6 gigs of RAM and an external Nvidia Geforce 210 graphics card with 1 gig of memory. If you need anything else I'll see if I can find it, I'm not exactly an expert on computers.

Here's the crash report:

Hopefully someone on here smarter than me can decipher said crash report, because it looks like gibberish to me.

May i ask what your graphics refresh rate is set at? I have the same graphic setting on my intel graphics card.

It looks like my refresh rate is 60Hz, and I had to hunt for it a little bit, since I have no idea what a refresh rate is. I'm sorely ignorant in the area of graphics cards and displays.

Edit: And 60Hz is the only option, too. I can't go down or up with it.

Edit: I'm also using dual monitors, I forgot to add that.

I have the same monitor and dont get this.. Tried reinstalling?

I've recently reinstalled GTA, Samp, all mods, and even SAMI just be safe, but it didn't help. I haven't reinstalled Windows 7, I did that six months ago and it was a pain in the rear, I'd rather not do it again, Lmao. Mainly because I did a factory reset. But I really can't think of anything else.

The only time it crashes (on that resolution) is when something explodes, and it never fails to crash when something goes boom. As far as I know, no one else has had this problem on the server I play on.

I have the detailed radar mod installed. It's patchy because when I use img tool to rebuild archive, for some reason it doesn't work. So I have that semi-working mod. Maybe I should take it out.

Try play gtaa raw, without anything besides sa-mp (NO mods or any modifications)

Alright, I'll give it a try. I'm having to uninstall and reinstall GTA just to get rid of detailed radar.

Edit: This is ridiculous. I had to uninstall and reinstall GTA three times to get rid of detailed radar. I uninstalled Samp and reinstalled it, somehow managing to put every existing server in my favorites folder, lagging the program so bad I was forced to uninstall it again. The second time I reinstalled it something went wrong and not only would it NOT open, but it wouldn't uninstall either.

I then had to uninstall GTA a fourth time just to get rid of SAMP, manually deleting everything related to SAMP via windows explorer.

That alone has made me want to just walk away from this game forever. However, charmingly stubborn little idiot I am, I'm once again giving it a shot.

EDIT: It still didn't work. Even with no mods and a fresh install, I continue to crash [on that resolution] everytime something explodes near me. I'm ready to just deal with the horrible graphics. x_x

I play SA-MP at 1366x768x32 too, and I have no problems with it. I don't have mods tho. Did you try reinstalling SA-MP after u reinstalled SA ?

Are you using a legal version of GTA:SA or a cracked one?

I reinstalled samp and gta, removing all the program files folders and the documents user files first. I am using a legal version of gta that I had to downpatch to make compatible with samp. If I were using a low end computer with integrated graphics I wouldn't question it but my computer is brand new and well, you saw the specs. I even used can you run it and it passed easily.

Edit: Here is a screenshot of my settings. Note that the resolution, on the bottom, is the cause of the issue. I know that because when I put it on x 16 I have no crashing problems, just shitty graphics. I was wondering if maybe my other settings were conflicting with it or something. Like the anti aliasing or the fx quality.

There is also this: http://ft.fckitupload.com/qgY/dual_monitors.png

This is the little window that pops up every time I play, because I have dual monitors. It's basically asking which monitor I want the game to show up on, because it won't show up on both. I was wondering if maybe the resolution option at the bottom effected it, but I've changed it to different ones and it doesn't seem to.

I think I also had this problem before I got my second monitor.

Okay, hold on a sec. Apparently I still haven't gotten rid of the detailed radar mod. How do I get rid of this little bastard? I uninstalled and reinstalled GTA five times, deleting all the gta and samp related folders before each reinstall, and it's still there. I can't get rid of it.

Okay, I finally got rid of it; someone donated their default radar files to me. Only problem is, the problem still isn't fixed. So it wasn't the mod.

try without downgrader and with just a NO-CD i usaaly use this setup
for people wondering this works and i have a legal GTA SA 2.0

Sansko, I did as you suggested. I reinstalled GTA, without the downgrade patch, and using the NO CD mod that replaces the gta sa file. I also have 2.0, like you. I did this and it still didn't fix my issue. I'm stumped. I have no idea why it could be doing this.

As funny as it may sound - Video card issues? What's your video card?

My graphics card is external, I don't see why it would conflict. it's Nvidia Geforce 210, 1gig. I will say this though, both of my monitors are plugged into my graphics card, because there's a funny and retarded story about this brand new computer.

HP decided to jump the gun with their new tower and the ONLY plug in they made for it requires a brand new monitor, which I don't have the money for. Both of my monitors use the standard blue connection. I was forced to plug them into my graphics card.

I hope this isn't the problem, because if it is, then I am stuck with this issue forever.
