Laptop for scripting
#1

I'll buy a laptop only for scripting, for setting up websites etc...

So i decided to buy a mini-laptop, because they are very cheap, now my question is:

I found this laptop, do you think it is too small to see the code for scripts or is it ok?

It's not a " mini-laptop " but it's called netbook instead. NET BOOK as the word says it's not for gaming or watch films/videos with high quality. The CPU is quite slow, RAM is enough for what you want to do. For sure you're not going to test you scripts with that netbook.

I won't test it on it, i'll test it on another laptop, so you think it is ok for scripting and setting up websites? Because i don't want to buy it and then i only see 1 word per line.

Hmm that makes sense, i think i was too retarded to think about it...

Yes it is. They don't say what OS it have but i'm sure Win XP. Let's think you're going to watch 2 videos on *******, Windows Media Player and 2-3 programs opened. For sure it will take all the RAM. That netbook is quite enough as i said above but if you can find a netbook with at least 512mb RAM would be better.

I play Sa:mp on my netbook without problem. I bought it 2 years ago. If you buy that now you will have no problem if you will use it for surfing web or play san andreas (also sa:mp obviously) and other old games :P

If you buy it only for scripting it's a waste of money. I bought it for websurfing, but you can script on it if you want.
It's very useful also when i player on the desktop and want to surf web without exiting the game :P

The only cons it's the monitor. It's so little, sometimes it's so annoying.

You can however play old games with very low quality such as Gta SA and CoD1/2, I used to play those on an old Acer Aspire.

However i've meant that. Who is going to play GTA:SA on low + 640x420x16 It's just horible. But i also bet that it also cant reach 60FPS

Have I ever said that it is meant to play?
Come on, it's pretty obvious, with a integrated video card of 64mb (or 128mb i'm not sure) and a tiny processor (1Ghz 2core) it isn't meant to play.
He didn't said that he want to play Sa and I just said I can play it, so HE CAN ALSO TEST HIS SCRIPT.
You do not need 60fps and an awesome graphic to test scripts.
I have a SAMSUNG NC10 (i don't recommend it, a lot of people had problems with LCD cable, me too (I had to pay 24Ђ and disasemble the monitor to plug in the new cable because it was defective, very annoying)
Anyway. If you can't afford a notebook, and you don't need it to play games it's a good choice.

Ok, so tell me where there is written about video card. My friend got an 32mb dedicated (don't remeber the model). 512mb of RAM. And you said wrong. That netbook we're talking about it's a single core at 800mhz (0.8Ghz).

Hmm I can remember reaching about 45 on mine, and on busy servers 20.
