Uhm, if they were the first ones to create the game-mode and you copied everything like theirs would be stealing/cheating it's like going to a school exam and take all the answer that your friend wrote without him noticing, when he studied hard, but you didn't and if he sees that you copied his exam he'll report you. They would report you unless you change it but keep the ideas or make them in another wy, be creative.
