I want to learn programming at full time, I mean I'm taking computer sciences in university after few years, I want to learn programming before hand. I mean i'm good a php and basic c++ , But i want to expertise one language. Which one shall i learn C++, VBA or Java or C#. Which one of them is used for major games and Softwares? I heard VBA and C# are good and also provide GUIs, But i have a feeling it is not used by major IT firms. Because most of the major softies doesnt use it. Which one should i learn , Please help

C# is easier than C++, just like C. I'd advice that first you start from C, and then proceed to the C++ if you want a powerful programming language with unlimited possibilities.

I don't recommend C# for this purpose though go for C++, if you learn most of it you can nearly develop anything
Java is a 2nd preference I'd choose.
I'd choice C# ,but its your choice.

What are the benefits of learning C# of C++ besides being easier to learn, which just shows laziness?
And honestly, it's not hard to "learn" any language, especially if you have prior knowledge of others. It's just memorizing all the functions and being able to find updated documentation on them.
