Xp is more unlaggy then win7 , i suggest you xp for games... and DO NOT EVER USE VISTA IN GAMING CAUSE IT SUCKS AND LAGGS AS FUCK.....

Okay, Then I'mma install XP, Now I'm pissed it had like 5 minutes to finish the installation, the power went out, its restarting 40 minutes -.-, fml !!!

Actually, on recommended Win7 specs, Win7 works better than XP, both performance and gaming. Also, I had an old laptop, Pentium 4 2.00GHz and 512MB RAM, it took 40 sec to boot up and it was all good. I've no idea why it's so terrible for you. Maybe you installed the 64-bit version? Your PC is clearly 32-bit.

Windows 7 ofc.
XP is just using way too much resources which makes it very slow, especially for gaming (That is MY opinion :P)
However, people say that W7 uses more RAM, and I think that's true.

Coding and gaming is always perfect for XP
Windows 7 is more like for business etc.

There is a Virus that can slow your CPU try to scan your whole computer my friend had that problem and he fixed by deleting the virus
