So basically i can just double click on a pawno file and open it. I have to open pawno first and then inside pawno open my file. Tried using open with but it doesn't save/work. So each time i have to separately open pawno and just then open file.

Are you by chance using Windows 7 Or Vista? If yes then...

Here, go to your pawno folder.
Right Click "pawno.exe"
Select Properties
Go on "Compatibility" tab
Tick "Run this program as an Administrator"
Click Apply/OK.
Try to open by .pwn file again (It should work )

Sounds like a Windows Issue to me, but my guess here is:
You want to be able to D-Click a .pwn file and have it auto open in Pawno?

All I can suggest trying at this point is Left Click on a .pwn file, then select 'Open With...'
Then the 'Choose program from a list' which should then give the option to check 'Always open with this program'
So just make sure you have that checked and then choose your Pawno Program

This should work for Win XP, but not sure if that's how it's still done with Vista or 7

I think it's better to switch to Notepad ++. Pawno sucks... This is the reason why I'm not using it, and I'm writing code in Notepad ++.
