I like UDK more than CryEngine. I also know more in UDK as I took a day course on it. Taught me the basics, but enough for me to expand my knowledge on my own.
I think the UDK is easier, while CryEngine is way more complex.
At the same time CryEngine focuses on details. If you really need to focus on details, use CryEngine.
Otherwise, stick to UDK.
