What do you exactly mean "Like this"? Do you mean the Square Transperant TextDraw Box? or you do you mean the yellow coloured background within the Square Transperant TextDraw Box?

Took me about 20 seconds to find

I think he meant the box he marked within the red line

For such a gradiant textdraw you use use some letter (I think its a minus)

And than you just stretch it, also you set the color to some transparent one (0xAA)

Just use the editor mentioned above to get good results
