Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Origins
#1

Hello, on I server I play Las Venturas Cops N Robbers, people seemed to be confused on what the cities were based on, where the ideas and designs came from. They didn't believe me when I said they were based on American cities and laughed at me sooo I went and gathered proof and here you go.

Quote:

This massive game spans the entire state of San Andreas, with visits to three major cities patterned on real-life counterparts. There's Los Santos (based on Los Angeles), a gritty blur of smog and violence; San Fierro (based on San Francisco), and Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas), a midnight wonderland crawling with money, sex and corruption.

*Side Notes*
I live nearby the cities myself and I visit each of them in real life often and here's my summary on them.

LA = Trashy, the streets are really dirty and it smells like piss in downtown...

SF = Is actually a really nice city. If you wake up real early and ride your bike along the bay side its really peaceful and nice.

LV = the funnest of the three, but keep a limit on your money or you'll lose it all, and fast. Though, even when your broke, you can just walk down the strip and be easily amused by the water shows in front of the casinos all night.

It's pretty obvious with the massive airport in LS (LAX) as well as the massive highways. The massive bridge in SF (Golden Gate Bridge) and all of the casino's and the strip in LV (Same casino's in Las Vegas).

People who can't see that these cities are based on LA, San Francisco and Las Vegas are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very blind and stupid.

It's based on American Cities. Los Santos is Los Angeles.
San Fierro is San Francisco
And
Las Venturas is Las Vegas.

You can se many things that looks exactly the same. Like mentoded above me.

I live in Lancaster, CA which is...

Los Angeles: 60miles away. (I'm in Los Angeles County still) 45minute drive (La Traffic sucks)
San Fransisco: 365miles away. (My Cousin lives here) 5Hour drive (only cause you have to go through LA to the 1freeway then go up the coastline)
Las Vegas: 243miles away. (My Aunt lives here) 2hour drive (only takes two freeways to get here)

And I visit these places regularly, thats how I knew for sure (like I didn't have to look it up but I did for proof) that these cities are based on actual American cities =D

I thought people knew what the san andreas cities were based on after playing it for 10 minutes?

Those players you speak of must be some of the under 10 years old crazy squad.

That's the whole I reason I started to play GTA SA.

I read on IGN about it and figured I'd get the game and try it, turns out, I like it, so now I'm playing SA:MP
