Windows 7 - Not reading Flashdrive.
#1

Okay, so I need to place some drivers onto my PC since I just restored it.
But the only way for me to do that is from my flash drive. Transfer them from my Laptop, to my PC(Using XP.)
The problem is, when I plug my flashdrive into my laptop(Any port, they all work anyways.) It will not read it.
It also does not even know that I plugged it in.
If I plug it into my PC using XP it reads it fine.

I have tried the following:
- Using different USB Ports.
- Restarting my computer with the USB Drive in it.
- Restarting my computer with the USB not in, then placing it back.
- Uninstalling USB Roothubs, restarting the computer, which will auto re-install them. Tried with the USB plugged in during restart, and not plugged in.

I can not seem to find a answer that works anywhere. I have ******d the problem, but no luck.
Hopefully someone here knows what to do.
Also, the reason I don't get the drivers off the internet on my other PC is because one of the drivers I need, is the Ethernet thing, so I can get on the internet

The problem is, I think its Chipset, but the Chipset makes it able for your computer to detect there's something there. Doesn't Happen to all but it happens.

Make sure your computer is fully updated and that you installed all Drivers.

Chipset, Bios,Video,Audio,Internet and so on I couldnt really suggest on how to bring those files over except burning the files onto a CD

Visit your device manager when you insert the drive and see if it shows an attached USB flash drive. Also see if any of your other devices are malfunctioning. If they are, see if you can find some solutions to solve the problems.

Ummmm, the is a key combo you can use in the bios that reloads all basic drivers. Let me get it for you.

I cant forget it. But we had this issue when we formatted a computer. They Key Combo Was Like ALT (HOLD) E S T or something like that.

Burn your mother board driver on CD and install it
After that you will be able to use everything that is integrated on your motherboard (such as USB,LAN,ect...)

Best possible and reasonable solution.
