My external hard drive hangs my computer when it's on. The windows will back to normal if I take out the external hard drive.
I've used HDD Regenerator, but it just show "Please Wait".

Any of you have solution?

Have you ran check disk on the HDD?

model and brand would help... USB Externals are prone to failure.

Check your port, like, switch it to a new one.

Bad sectors are a sign that the drive is failing or has failed. If it is not working properly, id toss it and get another one.

Actually I decide to do nothing with it and gave it to my father. So it's not my problem no more.
