The problem is people are trying anything to get people onto their server. What they don't understand is to look at stuff in a better point of view, like think before you act. If you just offer random "refunds" from other servers, anybody without refunds are going to feel left out and not want to play there. And anybody with refund screenshots could be lying and more I could understand maybe a Level refund but common money and vehicles and properties and such is not fun at all.

The reason why so many video games now days have ranking up system's is because people love to rank up and become a somebody. So when you offer them a free will way to not have to do that they get bored fast and don't want to play anymore. When they have to rank up they enjoy it if they are already playing on another server than why bother trying to force them to yours? You should be trying to gain new players even new players of SA-MP and teach them basics and more. You shouldn't be trying to force players from other servers to yours, because all it leads to is people demanding stuff.

They will say they want this if not "their leaving" and due to the fact you forced them there they likely will have lots of other players that will agree with them and it will turn ugly. You can't be a owner that accepts demands so offering refunds is quite a stupid ass idea.

If you want to promote your server you should promote it as a stable server that will be here as long as I want it to. I have the money to afford it and I don't plan for it to go anywhere. This will allow people to know that if they do level up on your server it's not going to no use. Like a few months later boom its down. Why you think so many people play at my server and trust it won't go down? because I have the money to keep my server up for as long as I like. If you are owner without money than don't bother having a server.

Refunds from other servers are just the stupidest idea and you never seen any successful server have that kinda thing while starting. I never offered refunds from other servers. I've offered refunds from before a full account reset on my server but that was only their level and that was only if I saw a screenshot they had the same name an admin conformed it's them and I had it on my files of them having that sort of level.

The point is no matter what offering refunds from other servers doesn't do nothing for your server but make it crappy. It makes people bored, they can fake stats and others feel left out so it does no good at all.

- No refunds issued
- Admins may not being admin on their RP account (To prevent any corruption or unobjective decissions)
- Admin on RP accounts are equal to regular players (no excessive refunds)

Losing myself? My point is that people don't want to have to "earn" what they've earned on other servers again - yes it may be unfair - but that's how it works. I'm not a fan of refunds, but it's what gets these startup servers popular.

And I think you're losing yourself to make such a ridiculous comment.

Furthermore, popularity does matter. Do you really want to play on a server on your own? I presume you have very little experience with running servers.

There is really no point in starting a rp server if your just gonna give them all the stuff they are supposed to work for. In my server we are gonna have a realistic economy so you actually have to work for your money.

You guys are right because when ever players get what they want, they will start acting like they run the server and Even when they get refunded its like they get bored very easily and sooner or Later they will leave. Its even worst when the different server using the same script and Players don't want to see new things not the same old *** script and There are only few server out there that i know who DONT give ANY sort of refunds and That would be True Roleplay, Anyways this refund things needs to stop because sooner or later we wont have players at all in SA-MP if this continues.I know its not easy starting a new Script with no edits from any other script but it can be done if you want a successful server. It better to spend time to build and enhance your own script than use one that thousands of servers are already using. I once joined a server with a Raven's edit. Pretty terrible fucking experience, if you ask me. I don't even know how they got that 100+ playerbase.

I log in, fill in my biodata, finish the tutorial, and spawn. There are some people at the airport (some admins). The rental vehicles were bugged, so I was stranded with no car, and I got jailed for accidentally kicking the admin / player off a bike. How long was I jailed for? 90 minutes, lol.

It was the most gayest experience ever, and I'm never joining that server again.

I won't be mentioning any names, but you probably know by now lol
