[Supercop]

This is the thing:

I have added the server IP (actually an URL redirecting to the IP) to my favourites on SAMP, and it says "retrieving info". So basicly it says the server is down. When I try to connect, I can not connect.

Strange thing is; the server is online. A guy playing on there told me it.

Things I already did:

- re-installing SAMP
- Making sure no space between begin and end of the IP

How to solve?

You stated that you are using a host-name to access the server, rather than the raw IP address. If you are able to communicate with a person on the server, ask if they are able to access it via the host-name, or if they are using the raw IP address. If they are using the raw IP address, it is (most likely) something wrong with the forwarding on the host-name.

They use the hostname, like I do. When I connect to the server, it says "Connecting to [IP ADDRESS]"

But doesn't suceed.

Are you able to connect to any server at all? If so, are you banned from the server you are trying to connect to? I think it was reported that since 0.3c some people cannot see server information if they are banned.

I am not banned from the server, and I can simply connect to other servers.

If you are able to connect to your desired server with the raw IP address, it must be something wrong with the host-name then. I am not familiar enough with setting up host-names to work as IP addresses though and therefore this is about how much assistance I'll be able to provide.

And you did make sure you entered the port properly, right?
