Don't use server ads. They just get hackers and wanna be admins. Don't use any kind of advertisement. Let the players come in at their own leisure. You don't want to act desperate for players either. Don't treat your players with too much respect. For example, theres 1 players online (you), and another one joins. You're not supposed to give him $50k for joining, don't even say welcome. Let them do the playing.

You're so right with the server ads. Especially the admin part. Also the last part where you said don't give him $50k for joining, I scripted my /register system to give them $50k and 5 score a couple weeks ago if they register on the server just as a thank you gift. I also agree with the "don't say welcome". When my admins see a player join, they either say "hey xxxxx" in the chat or they "/announce welcome xxxxxx" which I find stupid because on spawn, I made it to say "welcome to las venturas true crime, version ##, xxxxx!" Then I say to them I am the owner and I don't even say hi or hello most of the time because I don't really know if the player will be rude, a beggar, hacker or whatsoever so I don't try to greet and respect them on they're first time until they first say something.

And for IG (top starter) DO NOT USE A PRE-SCRIPTED GAMEMODE.

What I mean is don't download a gamemode from the forums or use the gm's in the gm folder in the samp server package, because people like servers from scratch and not some stupid edit like Godfather or some other crap.

Learn to script and use pawn language, you will never regret doing it once you have learned it and once you get your own gamemode made all by yourself.

Advertise:

- Make video's about your servr
- Advertise here in 'Server Adverts'
- Say to all your friends (that play samp) to come on your server
- Your server in the hosted list
- Maybe make a fan-page on ******** for your server
- etc ...

Ask your current players; to refer more players to the server.

If someone is reffered, the refferer should get some sort of in-game bonus. The referrer will then tell other people that by refering people to the server gets them bonuses, and then more people will refer more people.

I agree with this. For example; you could refer 20 players, have them register and stay active, then get **something valuable** in return.
