SA-MP 0.3c R2 server update
#1

This update is for SA-MP server owners only

We are issuing a server update for SA-MP 0.3c to address some security concerns.

If updating from an existing 0.3c server: you can update simply by replacing the 'samp03svr' file on linux or 'samp-server.exe' file on Windows found in the 0.3c R2 server download package.

SA-MP 0.3c R2 server

- Fixes a denial of service vulnerability where a remote attacker could cause the server to lag and eventually crash.
- Contains protection against 'server full' attacks.
- The "Incoming connection" message will now be displayed on the initial connection, this allows you to see all connections.
- Some server owners requested the ability to add a full date/time to the server log file. The 'logtimeformat' server.cfg variable has been added which allows you to configure the timestamp format. The format is based on the strftime format from C/C++.

examples for logtimeformat:

logtimeformat [%H:%M:%S] - (default) This displays only the time, and is the default format for all previous SA-MP server versions.
logtimeformat [%d/%m/%Y %H:%M:%S] - This would display the date in dd/mm/yyyy format followed by the time in hour:minute:second format.

Update: There was a problem using /rcon varlist in the initial version of the 0.3c R2 server. Please use the version with R2-2 in the file name (now on the download page).

The protection enhancements are things we've been NEEDING for a while now, stop being such an asshole. If this was planned as a major update, I'm sure it'd be 0.3d or 0.4*.

It's true, But we'll admit that after months of waiting for news that's not what we expected, unless they are already developing relevant news. If so, disregard my post.

I tried to type /rcon varlist, but server crashed. /rcon logtimeformat crashes server too.
