[Include] cini - simple and fast ini system
#1

Version 2.0
YES! this is another ini system!

Back story:
So I was talking to Grim_ right and he's all like y u use dini when it sooo slow (but not in those words) and I was all like idk LOL so then he's like y u not use default funktons? and i was like LOL ok ill stocks that uses them and call it cini, so then I like scripted this.

How it works:
It gets the data you send to it and formats it into a string and then writes to the file.
when it reads data it gets each line individually and then checks if the line is the line you want and strips the data you want from it.

Encode Passwords:
I left the option to encode passwords up to the scripter, seeing as there's a few out there.
To encode passwords you should do the encoding before you use cini.
password = Encode(params);
cini_Register(playerid,password);
if you're doing this then you should review the defines such as cini_max_password_length

Defines:
cini_max_filename //max size of /folder/name.ini
cini_max_string //this should cover the string size of the contents of a user file
cini_max_password_length //maximum password length, use longer if you're encrypting especially whirlpool
cini_string //this should cover the longest length of a line in the user file. if you're saving 126 sized strings then you should use a bigger number
cini_file_location //folder to save accounts to

cini

| stocks:
| cini_Register(playerid,pass[]);                   creates a user file with a password
| cini_CheckAccount(playerid,pass[]);               checks if an account exists
| cini_Save(playerid,typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);     clears an account file and writes specified stats
| cini_Add(playerid,typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);      similar to cini_Save but it adds to an existing file and doesn't clear it
| cini_Load(playerid,typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);     returns data from a user file
| cini_Update(playerid,typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);   replaces key values with new ones
| cini_DelKey(playerid,typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);   deletes a key from a user file
| cini_DeleteAccount(playerid)                      deletes a user file
| cini_EscapeString(text[]);                        cancels out \n and \r, it's not needed if you don't save then load after registration
| cini_Create(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);    creates an empty file
| cini_FSave(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);     similar to cini_Save but first arg requires a filename not playerid and does not check if file exists first
| cini_FAdd(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);      similar to cini_Add but first arg requires a filename not playerid
| cini_FLoad(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);     similar to cini_Load but first arg requires a filename not playerid
| cini_FUpdate(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);   similar to cini_Update but first arg requires a filename not playerid
| cini_FDelKey(filen[],typedefs[],{Float,_}:...);   similar to cini_DelKey but first arg requires a filename not playerid
| cini_FDelete(filen[]);                            deletes a file
|
| Version: 2.0
| speed improved
| escapes all saved strings
| doesn't stop on undefined typedefs
| changed cini_Delete to cini_DeleteAccount
| added cini_FDelete(filen[])

cini_Save(playerid,"sdif", //here "s" string, "d" decimal, "i" integer, "f", float. These must be in order

the above code will save a string like.

score=1000
kills=12
coolness=87.99
*/
Speed:
Forgive me if I misused some of the systems it was the first time I used sii, and fini.
I ran a test three times using cini, cini2, fini, bini2 and sii.
As you can see cini2 is the fastest in terms of write speed and is very fast in read speed.
All systems tested are very fast and were tested with a 100,000 loop
In a real situation you might save 50 stats in one go and cini2 would do it in about 22ms depending on the server.

I should note that in a test on Cache Files OPEN / SAVE / CLOSE should stay out of the loop because it will run only in general 1x

Really good. It's really hard to decide now-days what reading/writing system to use, considering two great releases this month. For now, I'll stay with my old bud, MySQL, but who knows...

Nice work, if this will be proven as faster then fini and yini ill switch to it

(btw there are alot of typo's in the 'info' section, making it really hard to read it.)

I disagree since I was testing file saving times, if you don't use them inside the loop then you'll get incorrect data and it'll seem like fini is much faster when it's not actually saving the data.

Good work, very nice system. For now I'm just sticking to mysql, but I'll consider giving this a try.

I'd love to do some speed test comparisons with this! I will include, Fin, mxINI, Dini, Cini, Y_ini (hopefully)

@Cessil
Hum,Yes.

But Look:

You use
Code:
Open File.ini
Set
Get
Set
Save File.ini
Close File.ini
And Not

Code:
Open File.ini
Set
Get
Save
Close
Open
Set
Get
Save
Close
Open
Set
Get
Save File.ini
Close File.ini

I saw this and i though WHOOOOOT! I seriously need this! It looks promising

but, i got problems with this...

Not one file gets created... how to fix this?

Maybe i am doing something wrong with the dialogs, since this is new to me :/ (been out of SAMP for about 2 years)

The code:
Code:
if(dialogid == Register && response == 1)
	{
	    if(cini_Register(playerid, inputtext)) ShowPlayerDialog(playerid, Msg, DIALOG_STYLE_MSGBOX, "Succes!", "You have been succesfully registered!", "K thnx bye", "");
		ShowPlayerDialog(playerid, Logged, DIALOG_STYLE_INPUT, "Now login", "Confirm your password by logging in!", "Login", "Cancel");
		cini_Save(playerid, "dii",
			"AdminLvl", 	0,
			"Money", 		0,
			"Score", 		0); //PlayerInfo[playerid][AdminLvl], PlayerInfo[playerid][Money], PlayerInfo[playerid][Score]);
		cini_Load(playerid,"dii",
			"AdminLvl", 	PlayerInfo[playerid][AdminLvl],
			"Money", 		PlayerInfo[playerid][Money],
			"Score",		PlayerInfo[playerid][Score]);
		return 1;
	}
Oh and the cini_CheckAccount is reversed i guess?

Code:
if(!cini_CheckAccount(playerid)) // --> this way i get the "You are new here!" dialog
	{
		ShowPlayerDialog(playerid, Logged, DIALOG_STYLE_INPUT, "You have been here before!", "Please enter your password to login", "Login", "Cancel");
	}
	else
	{
	    ShowPlayerDialog(playerid, Register, DIALOG_STYLE_INPUT, "You are new here!", "Please enter your preferred password for your account to register", "Register", "Cancel");
	}
Offtopic: Oh btw how to get the Pawno highlights in the [ code ] thingy's?

I can answer your offtopic question, use [pawn]

Now wait for someone else to reply because I'm going to bed... btw did you notice the word that looks like the object itself

luckie: it sounds like you might not have the folder "accounts" in "scriptfiles"
and use [pawn] instead

fek: if I was testing saving to a cache then I'd put the save and close outside but I was testing to an actual file since mine doesn't use a cache.

I forgot to mention that i DO have the folder there.

And what about that cini_CheckAccount function? Is it reversed?

EDIT:

Fixed it, be sure to run the server as adminitrator if ur running Windows 7 and your server is located in Program Files

Oh and the function isnt reversed, i think that had to do with the run as admin

Great include Cessil

Good job with cini_Save.

Small bug:

Code:
	cini_FSave("hello.ini", "si",
		"break", "hi\nwoop=11",
		"woop", 42);
Some people could exploit that to get better at something - I don't know what, but it's like the old privilege escalation bug in GF.

I also managed to repeatedly crash the system while testing, but in trying to narrow down why it happened, it stopped happening...
