How is he ruining the 'reputation' of Apple? he just lied about porting the server....

After you read a few more of his posts, you could probably see how it gets annoying.
Another on-topic comment (kind of) - you would indeed have to rewrite the whole client rather than being able to emulate it, or something like that. The official OS X version of GTA would be completely different to Windows, so even if you could inject the dll as a dylib (probably not possible anyway) into the GTA application, all of the memory addresses which SA-MP rely on would be incorrect.

Yes, I realize now this is the wrong section. It was just a question, I wasn't asking for you to create one from scratch, I just wanted to know if since Rockstar made ports, the SA:MP Dev team would too. I understand your saying they probably wouldn't "Waste their time" on a Mac port, but it wouldn't really be a waste, considering that many people are switching to Mac now because of all the shit that Microsoft produces.
From your reactions I can see that you don't think it would be worth the SA:MP team's time, so I guess I'll just use Parallels or something. But which runs SA:MP better? Parallels or Bootcamp...? |
Boot Camp would be better, because it enables Windows to be dual-booted with OS X, giving you a native Windows installation. Parallels is for virtualisation within OS X, so it'd be much slower.
