Why?Because its cool. Lol, kidding. Mainly, because its just useful.
How?
Ingame, the fun starts with /chat. A menu (dialog) will pop up, offering you various things you can select. The most interesting ones will probably be "Join a chatroom" and "Leave your chatroom". Probably because there are no other things to select yet. But theyґll come. For sure.
Usage is easy. Just select a chatroom, join it and youґll be able to chat with the other players in the chatroom. To do so, write !TEXT in your chatbox and all players in the same chatroom will see the message. This includes Join/Leave messages.
To get a better overview, I suggest you to look at the screenshots.
