To create an admin script is one of the most important and easiest things you can do.

/ban
/kick
/(un)mute
/slap
/(un)freeze
/spawn
/tp
/say

is what you need to run a gamemode.

Ofcourse there is a lot more things that is good to have and useful, but infact, not really needed.
