Whatever you can do with SAMPCE, you can do with Visual Studio Code (or Sublime Text). VS Code is versatile and fairly easy to set up with Pawn (there's a few guides on the forums for that). Plus, if you use a tool like VS Code, you will be able to work with other languages as opposed to SAMPCE. I can only see pros with sticking to my suggestion.
