Metal + subgenres is confusing as hell though. There are like tons of genres and nobody exactly seems to know what what is precisely (not that it matters that much. Don't really care about it, I just want to enjoy the music. But to get on point, I read that aswell (Wikipedia, English version). Guess we'll really never know :')

Before I posted this reply I looked for a bit on ******* to see if they somewhere in an interview said they called it Tanzmetal. I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyn7fFHpNuM (Title: Rammstein - Tanz Metal {Full Movie} but the description says: The classic documentary on the German industrial band, pioneers of tanz (dance) metal, (...) - So I guess it just doesn't matter hahah).

Didn't watch the video at this point (so I have no idea if they actually say something about 'tanz metal' or industrial metal') but I will soon (it does seem interesting).
