The problem is your using mysql_static.so it was stated that doing so is not a fix. It would post unseen problems in your servee.
What you are doing right now is not fixing it but rather just a workaround and everybody knows that workarounds have a big backdrop. Rather than doing that... ask the owner of the site to update their mysql client on their distro.. If you own the vps go to freevps.us for help. The plugin is already perfect for use.. Their might be some minor issues but the plugin works fine..
