Forgive me if I am wrong but there is nothing to be ashamed of when asking for something (in your case a banner).You don't need to say, your friend, bother..etc is asking for it.
Also i'd suggest that you make one yourself(I know, a great answer) but you will have to learn it eventually.Why not start now?It's really not that hard in making one rather then requesting for it.
