I don't know why people still use Windows XP, I also say that its one of the most used and the best operating system but its the time of 7 and above. I have used XP, 98, Vista (early edition which looked like windows 7), 7, 8, 8.1 but i won't be moving on Windows 10 till 2017 or all my needed drivers software are available.
I would recommend you to use Windows 7.
