I have a good paying part time job and still live with my parents so I don't have any bills to pay (and thus lots of extra money) - and still, I find it hard to pay $10 for a spotify subscription. If I were to donate to a server, I'd be pretty dedicated. I'm only speaking for myself though. Some people love throwing their own (and their parents' if they're younger) money around.
