First experience?
Probably back in 2011 when I had my first go on running a roleplay community. Before anything I researched a lot, looked how different places are running and connected it with how I wanted it to be ran.
It was by far most interesting experience ever I had experienced and continued on running others until "life" said other wise. Many abandoned projects of mine that I loved to see be alive but there are boundaries that one can get close to.
You get to learn a lot by leading a community, especially leadership, multi-tasking, problem solving and other social skills but you get to learn a lot of awful shit regarding people and their intentions. Power hunger, jealousy and hatred.
By far I as a old timer I can say.
If you do want to run a community, do it. You won't regret it, but do it only if you are sane enough to continue it.
