My thoughts on this are that they are just theories, and as you said they indicate that all this may be possible.
As the article states: " Today's technology is insufficient to enlarge or stabilize wormholes".
And if somehow we manage to do that, and take the required measurements, the answers may be very disappointing.
I don't like to kill it here, but I think the hype is too big. We will be rotting six feet under by the time they achieve something.
