It's not really that bad. The engine itself is user friendly and worth the money. They have a bunch of features in the engine that really make it worth it if you do actually make that kind of money. Unity for me is more lightweight and easier to use as it's C# and general use is different. I will say though, Unreal Engine is nice and you should give it a shot if you haven't (if you're interested in making games of course lol).
