Can you post a screenshot of your DirectX Diagnostic Tool > Display tab and Sound tab? To run this tool you can simply press
Windows key +
R key, then type
dxdiag in the text box, finally press
Enter key.

If you have Nvidia display hardware in your laptop, then yes, you will need it.
