If you call them up, after explaining the problem 99% of the time you'll get an answer saying "Okay sir I opened a ticket for you we will contact you soon." - "Soon" is usually anything between 1 and 4 weeks.
- DDoS attacks: They're not very reliable against DDoS attacks. There's attack methods that just bypass or are not detected by their "vacuum". My server has been under constant attack (~180k pps) making the server unusable because a software firewall just wasn't enough to handle it. I called them up within 1 hour of being attacked and just been told, of course, to create a support ticket. Since I knew nobody reads these, I found an email "antiddos@ovh.net" where you can send logs etc if their Anti DDoS isn't mitigating the attack. After 5 days of constant attacks they finally were able to mitigate it.
- With their servers you get a free 100GB backup storage. The backup storage server had problems every day. It either went offline or denies access from you. It took them 2 months to solve the issue.
- If you call support (in my case the german one), 50% of the time you end up in their french call center, even though you are calling in the business hours stated on the website. "Sorry sir german staff no work today can I create a ticket for you?"
If you order on the german website, only the german support can help you (same goes for all the other ones). So if your server goes down after 8PM on a friday, you can expect your server to be down all weekend: because their support is only available mon-fri from 8am - 8pm.
Now if you're still convinced to order at SYS, make sure you don't end up in the RBX3 datacenter. Although their website guarantees a 250mbit uplink, it is very unstable between 50-150mbit upload speed. Friends that had a server in the same datacenter had the same problem, whereas people with their server in Gravelines or somewhere else had their full 250mbit uplink. (That's the support ticket that's been unanswered for 4 months)
Do not bother contacting their mother brand OVH (which is way more expensive) because they can't help you either.
Other than all this they're good!

I am at RBX3 I get a download speed of 30MB/s so 300mbps from my NL VPS, so actually more than what is guaranteed.
I do admit though the support is utter shit, I am surprised I made a ticket last night and got a response this morning regarding possible hardware issue. I actually decided a few months back to buy skype credit and I got my problems solved right away when I would call them.
