I just installed GTA:SA + SAMP on a Windows 8 machine. I applied a downgrade patch, but SAMP kept crashing after the loading screens. I set GTASA to compatibility with XP/SP3 and SAMP with 98/Me, and gave them both admin rights.
Problem is, whenever I launch SAMP it briefly opens the server selection window, then closes it, and automaticly launches the game and connects to "...:7777", then says "Wrong server password".
I cannot pick a server or do anything when using the 98/Me compatibility mode, but if I use any other mode, it crashes after loading.
Any ideas?
