IF you want DDoS protection you're best off going with OVH or looking online at webhostingtalk forums loads of hosts offer DDoS protected VPS's.
The next step is fighting the attacks yourself, if you have remote access you can drop the attacks yourself if using linux via IPSet (if large botnet) to find out who is attacking try using tcpdump for UDP attacks
