Today game engines uses unified approach, you make a game and engine ships it on few distributions. Consoles are less likely to be cracked and actually people that own console just buy the game, while PC story is a little different, foe example when GTA IV got out crack has been made in less than a 24h and it was already on TPB...That why rockstar first release console and than "port" game to another distribution like windows...
