Well, I'll list you the steps correctly first, start by going to "Start" menu, type "cmd", and open cmd.exe, then, type in the box: "ipconfig", search for the correct default gateway IP, it could be 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1, I believe you can change it to other IP's, however, if none of them work, and "ipconfig" wont help you, reset your router to the default settings, by the way, is your router an Access Point, a modem, or what exactly? I am lazy to search about your router.
