Your IP is given to your router by your ISP.
There is no way you can keep your IP forever.
Unless your ISP is willing to give you a static IP. Most ISP's won't do that as you're usually not allowed to host a server at home.
You can use No-IP to get over this. http://www.noip.com/free
Then you can assign a hostname to your router.
If your IP changes, the client program will update the IP on their server, so the hostname will still point to your router.
