A lot of apps use it (like alot). Most developers don't even notice it's in their manifest and it's mainly used for the unique identifier to track their apps. Though I agree if you read the references it can be quite invasive. If I recall Unity uses it to know correctly handle the app when a phone is ringing etc. Though it can be manually removed. http://developer.android.com/guide/t...est-intro.html (just thought I'd give some pointers as it's his first app). |
