Valve only care about the money. Steam as one example, some games on the Greenlight have been waiting to be approved for months and some even a few years while games such as The WarZ AKA The ScamZ were accepted without an application simply because Valve knew they would make a shit load of money from it. One game on the Greenlight still which I bought probably over 9 months ago now called Omegalodon which is a great little multiplayer game has been waiting for so long but because it's a small game Valve don't give them even a slight chance because it simply won't make them much money at all.

Most of their games are incredibly cheaply made, especially the same old assets that they use in every one of them. Don't get me wrong, I like Portal and TF2 but they don't so much care about their games as Rockstar do or some independent developers.

I can't pick between EA, Value and Ubisoft. If I had a choice I would say probably a small Indie team that do it out of pure fun/hobby.
