Difference between Dedicated and VPS
#8

A VPS is a Virtual Private Server, a simulated machine running on a big server with several other VPS's. RAM and CPU are shared with other people, though got limits, so VPS dont block each others too hard.

Dedicateds originally were physical machines, so a physical server just for you. However, today servers are strong enough, so dedicateds usually also are virtual machines, just with higher performance, and stricter limits, so dedicateds on one server dont steal each others performance.
