You need 2 things to help you.
1. The knowledge of pawn. (you get that from these forums and the sa-mp wiki).
2. An algorithmic way of thinking. (you need to know how to solve the problems mathematically). If you have this, you should be able to learn things fast.
I am also new in this and I am working now at my own gamemode. It's not easy but I am getting there slowly but surely. My advice to you is this: don't give up when you encounter tough problems!
