When you rep someone, it doesn't show your name. You have to add it manually in the rep text.

When giving it out at random, that, in my opinion, is Reputation Farming.

Reputation was meant to be given out for good things you do, contributions you make to the forum. Not for fun, or at random.

Another part of my opinion on this matter is that it is almost the same as posthunting.
