When was the first roleplay mode for sa-mp released?

"roleplay" is everything but an explicit term. Freeroam clearly is the "original roleplay" and you really cant tell at which point some freeroam formed to a "roleplay". Is it the /me command or how the hell would you separate that?
Todays roleplays mostly are simple freeroams + the rule to have first_last names and paychecks.
