OK so i am trying to configure the network on my Gentoo machine

/etc/conf.d/net file contains the entries that i've listed below

dns_servers_eth0="14.96.345.12 175.230.77.154 64.31.142.42"

Now when i try to test the networking

cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 14.96.345.12
nameserver 175.230.77.154
nameserver 64.31.142.42

The Script must create

ping www.badweeny.com
ping www.badweeny.co.uk

but the domain name is not at all resolving and this is seriously pissing me off, i've been trying this the whole day yesterday

i would be glad to get some help.
