Hello there,
Everytime I start SA-MP I get this crash message:
At first, I thought this is purely because I am launching SA-MP through Steam, as my GTA SA is a Steam game, but this didn't make sense, because when the headphones were out of the computer, it ran fine with no crashes. But when I plug in the headphones, I get this crash message on the SA-MP loading screen, and I guess I discovered the cause, but I'm clueless on the fix to it.
I had to crack the Steam version down to 1.0, and I'm pretty sure it's not Steam which is causing the crashing, because it works with Steam open, and with headphones disconnected, but crashes when headphones are in. I have the latest SA-MP version, my OS is Windows 7 64-bit and my GPU is GTX 560.
I have two soundcards, one on the mobo which is the default for the headphones, VIA HD Sound Deck, and the SB Audigy soundcard which I use for the speakers. I'd like to have both for headphones and speakers, but that means connecting Audigy with the front panel, which requires a bit of work, the front panel by default is for the mobo soundcard, in this case VIA HD Sound Deck. Why am I saying this... Sometimes I guess stuff is caused by hardware, so I just pointed that out in case any questions are to be asked.
Cheers.
